IC Design Team Manager

This venture presents an exciting, unprecedented opportunity – the lead of a new team within our company. As the IC Design Manager, you’ll oversee a team of digital design engineers, with a specific focus on developing compute subsystems for a large variety of different products. Your responsibilities will span from concept to the validation of the developed solutions, which includes tasks such as design specification, architectural development, RTL design, modeling, verification. You will have a central role within the organization, and you have the opportunity to interact with many product definers and integration teams.
What You’ll Do
- Leadership: Manage and lead a team of digital IC design and verification engineers
- Technical guidance: Consult the team in technical areas, like the selection of adequate microarchitectures and verification approaches
- Coordination: Coordinate activities between the team and product integration teams and software/firmware teams
- Mentoring: Coach younger team members to become strong contributors
- Quality assurance: Ensure high-quality outcomes from the team
- Process improvement: Contribute to design methodology and design flow improvements
- Minimum BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- At least 5 years of engineering leadership with direct reports
- An extensive technical background within in the development of semiconductor products or sub-components (IPs)
- Experience with embedded CPUs, from a hardware and software/firmware perspective
- Strong communication and strategic skills
- Eligibility to work in Switzerland
- Experience in some of the following areas is a plus:
- Experience in the design of CPU/MCU (sub)systems, SystemRDL or IP-XACT
- Development of signal processing components or processing systems
- Programming in Python for automation and C/C++ for embedded software
- Definition of design intends (timing, power), logic synthesis, STA, quality checkers (LINT, CDC, …)
- Experience in FPGA prototyping
- Awareness in mixed-signal design and verification, DFT
