Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst who is passionate about metrics and telling the stories behind the data. As a Data Analyst at Alohi, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. You will craft effective intelligent benchmarks, understand performance, care about data quality, enable automation and create visualizations and stories that help drive our business.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize key business questions and objectives.
- Design and implement data collection systems and processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Work with SQL and other data tools to extract, clean, and analyze data from various sources.
- Clean, transform, and preprocess data to prepare it for analysis.
- Analyze complex datasets using statistical techniques and data visualization tools.
- Identify patterns, trends, and correlations in the data to derive meaningful insights.
- Integrate and utilize AI tools like OpenAI API to develop and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for data-driven insights.
- Assist in designing experiments (A/B tests) and analyze the results to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of data-driven initiatives and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from different departments to inform strategic decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science.
- Minimum 4 years experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Proficient in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase, Tableau and Power BI.
- Compelling story-telling skills, and an eye for powerful visualizations - you'll need to translate your findings for all levels of stakeholder (business and technical)
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience using OpenAI API or similar AI tools, specifically with implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with ETL processes and data integration is a plus.
