Position Summary

As a "Culinary Specialist", you will play a vital role in our product development team in Nestlé Konolfingen. Your expertise and passion for the culinary arts will be put to use as you contribute to concept development and create innovative solutions that bring the culinary experiences of consumers to life. You will have the opportunity to explore recipes from around the world, gaining a deep understanding of their unique processes especially in the field of sweet and creamy ingredients. Collaborating closely with our product developers, you will create and refine prototypes that will ultimately become the final dish solutions. Additionally, you will have the chance to present your work to stakeholders, participate in important meetings, and become part of the esteemed Nestlé chef network.

A Day in the Life of a Culinary Specialist

  • Create and develop new culinary concepts from the kitchen lab to the production line
  • Collaborate with product developers from concept ideation to launch
  • Build and document knowledge about the latest methods, trends, and developments in the food service and food production industry
  • Present and showcase your ideas to stakeholders of all levels so that your ideas can come into life
  • Promote culinary awareness across the company and explore processes or techniques that are potentially patentable.
  • Actively participate in the Nestlé chef's network to gain and share knowledge

What will make you successful

  • Culinary certification or degree and strong expertise in culinary as a culinary specialist, sous-chef, chef or a similar position
  • Sweet and cream culinary knowledge a strong plus.
  • Experience in dessert, pastry and chocolate preparations a strong plus.
  • Creativity, curiosity and openness in exploring new types of dishes from across the globe
  • Ability to collaborate and share knowledge to ensure a high-quality result
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication in English (written, spoken), another language is a plus
