IT Business Analyst Guidewire ClaimCenter (m/w/d) 80 - 100%

The P&C Claims Team is responsible for all the Non-Life Claims applications of Zurich Switzerland.

To actively support our team, we are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst with strong expertise in Guidewire InsuranceSuite. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our sustainable digitalization initiatives and play a crucial role in our ongoing transformation within the claims area. 

You can expect to work in an agile development environment utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. You will share responsibility for the analysis and optimization of our application and serve as a key reference point for our internal customers. Additionally, you will support the Platform Architect in the decision-making process, ensuring well-informed and strategic choices. As a member of an agile team (SAFe, Scrum), you will collaborate closely with team members to drive innovation and excellence.

What you will do

  • Advice the business (product owner) with technical expertise for new requirements
  • Analyse business requirements together with the respective departments for implementation in the IT-systems
  • Coordinate integration end-to-end analysis for new requirements and incident fixing
  • Provide the necessary support and clarifications to the developers in regards of configuration and development tasks
  • Assure completeness and correctness of documentation
  • Create and review test cases and participate in user acceptance tests

What you bring

  • At least some years of Guidewire ClaimCenter experience, with a minimum of 3 years as an IT Business Analyst or Requirement Engineer. Educational background in Information Systems and Management, Computer Science or similar fields
  • Understanding of system integration (Webservices, REST, SOA) and knowledge in Java and SQL. Familiarity with integration and release management tools (e.g., Atlassian Suite, GIT, Azure DevOps)
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, proficiency in German is an added advantage
  • Experience in agile development frameworks, specifically Scrum and/or SAFe methodologies
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to quality. Highly cooperative, flexible, and enthusiastic team player
  • Strong sense of responsibility, adherence to deadlines, and ability to build and maintain relationships across different functions and cultures
