Biophotonic scientist/engineer (80-100%) - Intern

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. physics (physical chemistry), optics & photonics or related disciplines, or relevant experience in spectroscopy
- Hands-on experience with optical spectroscopy and laboratories
- You would be expected to work side-by-side with Spiden technologists and scientists
- Knowledge of biomedical device testing or chemometrics is a plus
- Experience with advanced data analysis is a plus
- Experience with Optical simulation tools (Zeemax, Lighttools etc) is a highly appreciated plus
Internship position (80-100%) as Biophotonic scientist/engineer intern in the Biophotonic department. This job opportunity aims at actively executing and taking part of multisciplinary Biophotonic teams' activities within the R&D.
Compensation: Disclosed on site
- Develop and implement optical spectroscopy solutions for label-free sensing of biomarkers in biological fluids and tissues
- Lead the design of experiments for testing the optical spectroscopy devices
- Perform experiments and contribute to the interpretation of the spectroscopic features
- Document activities and report protocols and findings
- Contribute to the development of cutting-edge industry-facing research projects in the biomedical and pharmaceutical area
- Stay up to date with the state-of-the-art and the competition of optical-based biosensing
- Work on different projects and at the interface with other functions.
