The Application Responsible holds the IT ownership of an application – in this case the Case / Process Management Tool from Flowable. From a change perspective, the role is responsible for translating business vision into technical capabilities. From an operation perspective, the role owns and manages product life-cycle and non-functional requirements.
For this particular position, the Application Responsible owns the Flowable Platform, which builds the foundation for all Flowable Case- and Process-Management application of the bank. Applications running on the platform could be model based (Low-/No-Code) or Pro-Code. The Application Responsible of the platform supports and guides both.

Solution Engineering / Requirements Management and IT-Change & Release Management:

• Work with Product Owners to define business requirements and to translate it to technical capabilities
• Ensure the adherence of the application design with standards and guidelines of Architecture. In case of gaps, the Application Responsible identifies and mitigates risks and debts
• Own the Flowable Platform on which applications run that are owned by other Application Responsibles, consequently define, manage and enforce the guardrails and principles that ensure stability, re-usability, maintainability and sustainability
• Supervise software development and technical implementation, ensure appropriate testing and decide with IT Service Owner on production readiness from IT perspective
• Development of applications and enhancing of platform, take ownership of Solution Design, Security Concept, Interface Agreement
• Responsible for sizing of required development resources
• Estimate required change capacity and communicate to Product Owners
• Plan the release of the application in strong collaboration with the according Product Owner and IT Service Owner within the Change- and Release Management Framework

Operations and Application Management:

• Ensure sustainable, stable and maintainable applications
• Own the technical roadmap of the application
• Perform platform, application and application component lifecycle management
• Be involved in the 3rd level support for own application and platform
• Align and plans required budget and capacity for 3rd level support, life-cycle management and change management with IT Service Owner

• Proven Expert in Case Management and Business Process Management workflow notation CMMN and BPMN
• Proven Expert with Flowable Components (Work, Platform, Control) – packaged or open source
• Proven experience as a Java developer, with at least 5 years of experience in enterprise-level application development
• Excellent understanding of software architecture, enterprise architecture and development processes
• Strong proficiency in Java, with deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Expertise in Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Java EE
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, Ajax, React and JavaScript
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g.: Oracle, MySQL) and proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries
• Experience with version control systems and build tools (e.g.: Gitlab, Git, Octopus, Bitbucket, Jenkins)
• Experience with Technology Stack: Linux, JBoss, XML, JSON
• Experience in cloud-based development and deployment using platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Capability to analyse complex problems related to the application and to provide solutions
• Good presentation and communication skills and visualization of issues and solution in PowerPoint and Visio
• Team oriented, flexible, proactive, autonomous, persistent, and sustainable. Able to listen and exchange ideas
• Education BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Certified Agilist and/or Scaled Agilist (SAFe) and/or DevOps
• Fluent in English and German
