Ambassador's Chauffeur
The U.S. Embassy Bern is seeking eligible, qualified applicants for the position of
The incumbent is one of two Ambassadorial Chauffeur position and operates safely fully armored vehicle to transport the Ambassador, as well as Embassy staff and VIPs as authorized. The incumbent works non-standard shifts as necessary, including weekends and evenings, working with the Ambassador’s protective detail, and closely following security protocols when driving the Ambassador. The incumbent serves as backup driver to other sections as necessary and when available, ensures all motor pool vehicles are clean and well maintained, schedules regular maintenance for Embassy vehicles, and compiles daily and yearly motor pool reports.
The position is located in the Embassy's Regional Security Office Section (RSO) and reports to the Assistant Regional Security Officer.
