The Complex Materials group is headed by Prof. André R. Studart and was established in 2009. Our research focuses on the creation of complex materials that contribute to some of the UN sustainable development goals. As part of the Department of Materials, we offer lectures on the BSc and MSc level.

We have an opening for the following position as of October 1st, 2024.

We are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented, and reliable Administrative Assistant who will support the Professor and group members in all administrative and organizational matters, to ensure the continued excellence of the group’s research, teaching and service.

This includes accounting and finance (expenses, invoices and budget to set up and control), financial administration of research projects and human resource functions. In addition, you help to organise social events and support our spin-offs.

Profile
  • Ideally you have several years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a university environment
  • With your excellent interpersonal skills and trustworthiness, you contribute to the team's mission
  • A very good command of English (C1) and German (C1), both oral and written
  • You like taking on responsibility, work independently, and have strong planning skills
  • You enjoy contact with different stakeholders and put their needs at the centre of your work
  • Your solid computer skills (MS Office, SAP, etc.) enable you to work efficiently
  • Interest in further training and acquiring knowledge in the use of new tools
