Key Account Manager

Job description:

YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Regular customer visits to ensure target achievement and further development of categories for brands and private labels. Initiation and implementation of corrective measures in the event of target deviations.
  • Responsible for P&L (Profit & Loss), NRR (Net Revenue Realization) and GP (Gross Profit) per key account.
  • Preparation, implementation and follow-up of price and condition negotiations at customer meetings and annual negotiations.
  • Creation of a Joint Business Plans for 1 - 3 years for the customers, in which marketing priorities, trade investments and growth potential for the brand and private label business are defined.
  • Market observations, assessing opportunities and risks, recognizing and acquiring new potential to drive continuous profitable growth. Preparation of forecasts, extrapolations and trend calculations.
  • Effectively use market insights (DPSM, household penetration, consumer metrics), trend and novelty insights to develop business and drive growth
  • Monthly forecast, trade investments and NSV planning, according to budget specifications in cooperation with various internal departments: finance, RGM, marketing, category management. Trade investments are defined, planned and implemented based on growth opportunities.
  • Monthly DPSM/Revenue Growth Management customer assessment to align on top priorities and action plan
  • Sell in planning: input, maintenance and analysis of data of regular and promotional SKUs in "Promax" tool.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
  • Several years of professional experience in key account management in the FMCG industry
  • Completed studies in the field of business administration (master's degree an advantage)
  • Strong skills in working with internal and external partners, including efficient communication, cooperation and problem solving
  • Ability to successfully develop a customer relationship through competent advice
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills as well as a keen understanding of revenue and financial metrics
  • Data savvy, familiar with DPSM metrics (Distribution, Pricing, Shelving and Merchandising)
  • Well-versed in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and SAP
  • Languages: fluent Swiss-German and English, spoken and written.

As the Key Account Manager for Switzerland, you will be the link between the company and key accounts in the Country for our Consumer business. You will be responsible for the strategic development of key national customers in order to generate sustainable and profitable growth, as well as define and implement all sales development activities taking into account the overall strategy, financial profitability and local market conditions.

You will be responsible for building a trusting customer relationship and use category management to support and further develop your key accounts. Furthermore, you will develop "joint business plans" with the customer and review these in regular customer contacts to identify opportunities for further development and sales increase.

The role reports directly to the Swiss Commercial Leader and is an individual contributor (no direct reports).

Location: we can offer a hybrid model (on remote / customers visits / 1 day per week at Solothurn Office) for candidates already based in Switzerland.
