To strengthen our Sustainability Management Team, we are looking for a:

Supplier Engagement Sustainability Manager

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Management of our supplier engagement program for environmental and social sustainability
  • Development and execution of engagement projects to reduce scope 3 GHG emissions in our supply chain, with focus on corn and chemicals
  • Management of initiatives for regenerative agriculture practices, e.g. for water conservation and biodiversity restoration in corn growing
  • Development and implementation of due diligence and risk management processes to identify, address and resolve potential ESG risks in our supply chain
  • Onboarding of suppliers to ESG assessments and audits (Ecovadis, Sedex…), ESG screening of prospect suppliers and regular ESG performance evaluation of suppliers through adequate KPIs
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive sustainability strategies and foster continuous improvement of processes
  • Identification and selection of partners / consultants, and cooperation with them as needed for the realisation of specific projects and initiatives
  • Monitoring of relevant legislation and standards, e.g. SBTi FLAG, SBTN, ESRS E4, analysis of their impact on Jungbunzlauer, determination and implementation of measures to ensure compliance
  • Data management and progress reporting for supplier sustainability targets and activities
  • Communication and training of knowledge and good practices for internal and external stakeholders to anchor sustainable practices into daily operations of our supply chain
  • Representation of Jungbunzlauer in external sustainability events and committees, e.g. working groups / projects of industry associations on regenerative agriculture / biodiversity

Profile

  • Master’s degree in Agricultural Science / Environmental Science / Sustainability / Supply Chain Management
  • 3+ years of experience in sustainability or procurement, with at least 1 year spent in supplier sustainability programs
  • Passionate about driving sustainability initiatives, both operationally and strategically
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with persuasive communication and presentation skills in English (German is a strong plus), to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels and drive change
  • Able to manage independently several projects simultaneously, thinking creatively and analytically
  • Proactive team player, actively participating in reflections and decisions
