Roche Diagnostics Global Customer Experience and Solution Design Team (CXSD team) is looking for a passionate CX Lab Global Lead for Usability and Immersive Lab to redefine Roche User Interface and Product design and transform the Healthcare industry for the better.
At CXSD you will join an international group of more than 50 researchers and designers that serve our purpose to bring the voice of customers to the core of Roche Diagnostics decisions by designing and enabling a seamless patient-centric experience across our portfolio of products and services. You will be part of a motivated team whose mission is to scale up the usability testing practice within the company, automate processes around usability testing as a formative evaluation method, identification of key partners, training and evangelizing usability testing methods.
As the Global Lead of the Customer Experience Lab (CX Lab) you will be guiding one of the most advanced usability and user testing programs in the industry, designed to immerse users and customers in close to real-life environments to gather ultra-fidelity insights and feedback. You will lead a team of usability engineers and researchers, oversee the creation of cohesive data sources for cross-portfolio sharing, and ensure that our user testing outputs align with regulatory requirements and quality standards. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking professional with a passion for blending digital and physical design, especially through AR/VR, and enhancing the digital product testing experience.
- Lead CX Lab team operations, ensuring effective planning, budget management, and resource allocation.
Drive the adoption of digital tools that improve the efficiency of test participant recruitment and streamline the insights gathering and distribution processes.
Enhance AR and VR capabilities to create immersive, efficient design and testing experiences for physical spaces, bridging digital and physical design requirements in early product development phases.
Ideate innovative solutions to further scale the CX Lab capabilities across the globe
Spearhead efforts to reduce time to insights by streamlining and automating user testing practices.
Establish and maintain centralized data sources that support cross-sharing of user testing insights across product lines, reducing redundant testing efforts.
Develop and promote a compelling service offering within Roche, showcasing the value of user testing to key stakeholders across the organization.
Act as an advocate for the CX Lab, positioning it as an essential part of the product development lifecycle.
You hold a MS in Science, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, Human Factors Engineering or other related technical field, or equivalent work experience
Proven Experience: 8+ years in UX research, usability testing, or human-centered design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role guiding teams.
Immersive Technologies: Strong background in leveraging AR/VR or other immersive technologies for enhancing user testing and product evaluation.
Project Management: Demonstrated experience in project planning, budget management, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
Data-Driven Approach: Strong analytical skills with experience in building and managing centralized data sources for user testing insights.
You have experience with formative evaluations methods, including usability testing
You have excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate know-how, experiences, ideas, solutions and deliverables effectively and persuasively
You have strong knowledge of agile methodologies and iterative testing frameworks.
Knowledge of FDA Human factors guidance and usability engineering is a big plus
You are fluent in English. Other languages are always a big plus.
