Analyst - Research & Insights
Primary Function:
The Research Analyst will support dss+ in the areas of industry research and analysis with a primary focus on operations risk, operations excellence and ESG/Sustainability space. The analyst will be required to provide research support in areas such as client and industry analysis, benchmarking, aid client engagements/data analysis, help build point of views, track business drivers & trends and develop actionable insights on a range of topics of interest to business.
Brief Job Description:
- Conduct research on prospective clients, including business overview, financial, operational, safety and sustainability related information
- Strong understanding of financial, operational and other quantitative metrics reported by corporates. Must have strong ability to relate and link different pieces of information and bring out relevant analysis & business perspectives succinctly and insightfully. Synthesize and present clear takeaways & recommendations
- Conduct industry research, including the gathering & maintenance of industry info/statistics, creating benchmarks, competitive analysis and point of views
- Provide support for client engagement and data analysis
- Analyze data gathered from both external and internal sources to develop relevant and actionable insights which help form business hypothesis
- Provide the analysis in the form of well-structured documents & presentations
- Interface with business leaders, BDMs, consultants and clients to understand requirements and help meet business needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Science/Engineering with a Master’s degree in business management (preferably Finance/Operations)
- Experience: 2-3 years
- Experience working in similar roles in consulting organizations with a good understanding of various industries & sectors would be a strong plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information/data with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at combining & interpreting data/information from multiple streams to derive deep insights and presenting findings in a structured manner
- Strong problem-solving orientation; understand the ask and proactively work towards solution
- Open to travel on client engagements
- Flexibility to work remotely, hybrid and from office location
Minimum Skills Required:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Skills in Microsoft Suite of products – PowerPoint/Excel/Word; SharePoint
- Demonstrated strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to prepare and present well-structured analysis
