We are currently looking for a
PhD candidate in Rehabilomics and Spinal Cord Injury 100%
to join our Rehabilomics framework, merging rehabilitation science with omics technologies. The role involves developing a digital biobank within the SwiSCI Biobank, advancing SCI rehabilitation research. The candidate will register at the University of Bern, supported by experts in translational medicine and data science.
Program: This program offers training in SCI, rehabilomics, and biobanking. Responsibilities include designing a rehabilomics platform, conducting SCI research, and publishing findings to advance rehabilitation science.
- Reviewing scientific literature
- Developing a PhD research plan
- Planning, managing and conducting data collection and performing analyses
- Writing of ethical applications and scientific papers as part of the PhD thesis
- Presenting study results at national and international conferences
- Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of researchers
- Regular participation in the University's graduate program
- Bachelor's in Biomedical field, or Engineering or Natural or Life Sciences
- Master's in Bioinformatics or Data Science or Biomedical Engineering or Life Sciences and Biology.
- Some informatics skills, preferably experience with large datasets
- Familiarity with omics technologies and background in experimental design, data collection, and analysis
- Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Fluent in English with good German language skills
