- Personnel and technical management of the Publication Services group, currently consisting of four employees and one student assistant
- Efficient management and conceptual development of all services and the necessary infrastructure for publishing. In addition to an institutional repository (Islandora / Fedora Commons), this also includes services relating to Open Access, authors' rights and copyright. Further services and infrastructures are to be developed.
- Implementation of training courses and consultations in the field of scientific publishing
- Active participation in the strategic and operational development of the library in a dynamic and strongly IT-influenced environment
- A degree in natural sciences or engineering (doctorate is an advantage) and preferably several years of professional experience in scientific information management
- Proven knowledge of scientific publishing and an affinity for new developments in this field
- If possible, knowledge of web technologies and data structures (e.g. Solr, Drupal, XML, MySQL) and the management of institutional repositories
- Very good organisational and conceptual skills as well as experience in project management, management experience is an advantage
- Open-mindedness for new developments in the library sector and interest in the customer-oriented optimisation of information services
- A high degree of service-orientation, initiative and willingness to take responsibility, very good communication skills in German and English
