Risk Management at Alpiq is dedicated to supporting Alpiq's Business Units Trading, International and Switzerland by monitoring and management of their market, credit, liquidity and business risks.
We are looking for a dynamic leader to elevate our Enterprise Risk Management to new heights and transform risk assessments into proactive measures.
You will work in a diverse, multinational, and dynamic environment, guiding Alpiq's risk exposure supported by a highly skilled and experienced team whose members are motivated to take this next step with you. While this role requires frequent presence in Switzerland (Olten, Lausanne), it can be based at any of Alpiq's locations onsite.
Your main responsibilities
- ERM Lead
- Coordinate and Inspire: Lead and coordinate team efforts, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
- Strategic Development: Drive the strategic advancement of Enterprise Risk Management, ensuring it evolves to meet future challenges
- Train and Educate: Develop and deliver training programs for stakeholders, enhancing their understanding and capabilities in risk management
- Process Ownership: Oversee processes and documentation, ensuring they are robust and efficient
- Risk Assessment
- Comprehensive Management: Own the group-wide risk assessment process and its cycle to review, assess, mitigate, and monitor
- Integrate ESG: Incorporate ESG considerations into risk assessments
- Networking: Maintain strong connections with the first line of defense, including risk owners and coordinators
- Application Management: Manage the Swiss GRC application
- Business Modelling
- Strategic Analysis: Provide business modelling capabilities for strategic assessments, business cases, and liquidity planning
- Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with various stakeholders on requirements, responsibilities, and modelling assumptions
- Application Management: Manage the Quantrix simulation tool
- Reporting and Analytics
- Risk Aggregation: Aggregate single risks into a group-wide risk map
- Insightful Reporting: Provide insights on key risk developments and potential mitigation measures for Division, EB, and ARC/BoD levels
- Comprehensive Overview: Link risk assessments with incidents and events to provide a complete overview and propose mitigation measures
Your profile
- Extensive Experience: Several years of specific working experience in Enterprise Risk Management, with the capability to elevate the function
- Project and Process Management: Proven experience in managing complex projects and processes
- Business Modelling Expertise: Skilled in simulations and modelling for strategic and operational decision-making
- Leadership Abilities: Experience in leading diverse teams, with strong intercultural understanding
- Technical Proficiency: Excellent IT skills related to risk management tools and applications
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, motivational, coaching, and mentoring abilities, with a client-oriented approach
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English; basic knowledge of German. French and Italian are a plus
