About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced IT Quality Systems and Laboratory Systems Lead to spearhead our IT Quality Systems. This role is globally accountable for all aspects of planning, building, and running IT/OT systems used in quality labs and IT systems for quality assurance purposes. As the IT Business Partner to the "Quality" business function, you will be pivotal in driving technological excellence and innovation in our quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:

    • Lead the global IT Center of Excellence (CoE) for Quality Systems.
    • Oversee recruitment, development, performance qualification, and salary review for the team.
    • Manage financial responsibilities for associated cost centers, including personnel costs and external service partners.
  • Strategic IT Business Partner:

    • Gather and review IT needs from the Quality business function and advise on solutions.
    • Support prioritization of IT projects and change requests.
    • Contribute to the project portfolio process and steer the implementation of quality systems-related solutions.
  • Lifecycle Management and Continuous Improvement:

    • Accountable for lifecycle management of Lab and QA systems.
    • Drive and control continuous improvement of functionality, stability, and performance of these systems.
    • Oversee incident and problem management related to Lab and QA systems.
  • Technical Expertise and Innovation:

    • Provide technical support for projects, changes, and maintenance of Lab and Quality Systems.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies.
    • Contribute to the selection and project preparation of future Lab and QA systems.
  • Compliance and Governance:

    • Ensure adherence to GMP regulations and IT security policies.
    • Nominate and ensure adherence to system owner roles and responsibilities.
  • Stakeholder Management and Strategic Alliances:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Build strategic alliances to support team, departmental, and company goals.
    • Review and approve major contracts for IT services in the Lab and QA systems area.
  • Other Duties:

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
    • Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Certifications:

    • Required: IT Solution Specialist (Microsoft or similar)
    • Preferred: Project Management (IPMA, Prince, or similar)
  • Work Experience:

    • IT Applications and/or Infrastructure: 10+ years
    • IT Service Management: 5-10 years

Skills Required:

  • Expertise in Lab and QA systems (CDS, EWB, Moda EM, WINKQCL, PLA, Softmax Pro, DMS, TrackWise, LSO/Cornerstone, or similar).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in service management and project management.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Innovative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to develop effective short and long-term plans.
  • Interpersonal skills and teaching ability.

  • 2 direct reports
  • 6+ internal reports through others
  • 10-20 external contractors

This role will be fully remote with candidates ideally within 2 hours of Swiss time.
