What you do:
- Provide inputs to design/systems engineers regarding Change to Type Certificate classification, and guide them in defining certification basis of new Type Designs and Changes to Type Design.
- Analyse and interpret airworthiness requirements and the establishment of compliance methodology guidelines.
- Review and comment engineering compliance documentation such as Certification Programmes, Engineering Reports, Test Plans, Requirements Documents and Supplier Documents.
- Support the engineering organization in establishing Certification Review Items (Special Conditions, Acceptable Means of Compliance etc.) together with Pilatus CVEs.
- Review Change to Type Design documentation to ensure correctness and completeness with regards to applicable certification basis and compliance demonstration.
- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) with all aspects regarding certification, and participate in design reviews: Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review.
What you bring:
- At least 5 years' experience in aerospace, with working knowledge of certification standards for all disciplines including structures, flight performance, mechanical systems, avionics systems, software and Complex Electronic Hardware.
- Experience or knowledge of testing (flight-testing, ground testing, lab testing) for showing of compliance and continued airworthiness.
- Working knowledge and experience of civil certifications (preferably Part 23) as well as EASA Part 21, and basic knowledge of operational requirements (eg. EU OPS, CNS/ATM roadmap) is advantageous.
- Tactful and diplomatic, with the ability to communicate (speak and write) in English, make sound judgments and be co-operative, self-motivated and proactive.
- Ability to work individually and to be a good 'team player', encouraging and motivating others.
- Proficiency in English; German is an advantage.
