(R&D) In vitro Pharmacology Research Assistant

Job Mission

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our in vitro pharmacology dynamic team in Geneva. You will contribute to the screening and characterisation of allosteric modulator for our drug discovery projects and contribute to the identification of potential new drug candidates for human diseases with high unmet medical need. This role will involve working closely with team members to support cell culture, assay development and compound profiling activities. It will include also compound management support (shipping & receiving of compounds; management of the corporate library of small compound allosteric modulators).

We expect you to be passionate, self-driven, a strong team player, with excellent organisational and communication skills. This role provides a great opportunity to work within a vibrant neuroscience drug discovery environment and be part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills.

  • Masters’ degree (or equivalent), in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, Live Science Engineering, or in a related field
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture methodologies
  • Excellent laboratory skills and extensive hands-on experience with optimization and execution of in vitro biological assays (e.g. receptor functional and binding assays, using readouts such as fluorescence, FRET, BRET, etc.)
  • Experience in using software packages to model and interpret complex data.
  • Proactive mindset, combined with excellent communication, reporting and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a small team.
  • Motivation and positive mindset.
  • Good working knowledge of English and/or French
  • Swiss Nationality or eligible for Swiss work permit
  • Post-doctoral candidates will not be considered for this position.
  • A keen interest and experience with screening using liquid handling platform and other automation solutions and systems.
