Are you looking for a new challenge and have already experience in Material Regulatories?

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive quality improvements that reduce the costs of quality, while supporting the implementation of supplier/engineering changes, new product introductions, and transfers.
  • Provide support for R&D by assisting in the selection of materials for critical components, ensuring compliance with ISO 18562-1-4, ISO 10993-1-23, and global material compliance legislation.
  • Support the efficient management of material changes by setting up internal processes and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Contribute to supplier quality by offering input to quality management agreements, focusing on material compliance and biocompatibility.
  • Assist with potential product re-engineering, corrective actions, and material compliance issues, including providing necessary support to regulatory agencies and customers.
  • Document and support validation and verification (V&V) activities in materials testing for chemical and biological safety, contributing to product lifecycle management, change management, and new product development.
  • Help implement material compliance data management systems.

Your Profile

  • A degree in engineering or a comparable non-technical degree with relevant experience in chemical or materials manufacturing, engineering, or quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in working within materials regulatory frameworks for the EU, US, and ROW, such as MDR 2017/745, REACH, ROHS, POP, California Proposition, Conflict Minerals, and TPCH.
  • Qualification as a verification and validation engineer, capable of leading, developing, and implementing materials testing strategies to ensure compliance with medical device requirements.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to lead root cause investigations, manage complex workstreams, and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ideally, experience in navigating complex regulations and compliance requirements for global markets, particularly in legal entities involved in product design, development, manufacturing, distribution, and sales.
  • Fluency in English and German, with strong communication and collaboration skills, able to influence stakeholders across various levels.
  • Familiarity with the ISO 10993 series and, preferably, the ISO 18562 series of standards.
