THE POSITION
These are your key tasks:
  •  The role is to be the main point of contact for Arrivals & Departures (A&D) and to be the project lead/support for Transport (TPT) operations across all FIFA Client Groups (Teams, Referees, FIFA Officials, VVIPs, VIPs, Workforce, Dignitaries, Media, Broadcast, and Commercial Affiliates) for the following: 
    o FIFA Youth Tournaments (men's and women's) 
    o FIFA Futsal World Cup? o FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup? 
    o FIFA Congress and FIFA Council Meetings 
    o The Best FIFA Awards? 
    o FIFA Club World Cup? 
    o FIFA Women's World Cup? and FIFA World Cup? - provide support to Local FIFA Subsidiary 
    o Other tournaments and events as they occur, such as workshops and e-tournaments. 
  •  Work with the above client groups to agree service levels and quantify client numbers
  •  Undertake site inspections and complete other activities such as the Final Draw and Test Events
  •  Engage with points of entry stakeholders and establish Working Groups to seek feedback in their BAU operations and how these may be adapted/enhanced to meet FIFA A&D requirements
  • Work with the points of entry (incl. Immigration, Customs, Lounges and owners of vehicle holding area spaces etc) produce a Concept of Operations (including client flows). Work with the relevant stakeholders in the provision of (for instance for dedicated lanes and airside tarmac access) staff, space and equipment
  • As the lead or when in support of TPT produce a Transport Concept to include a budget forecast, stakeholder map, people resource plan, high level project & operational plans, a risk & issues log, resource requirements including for bus & fleet vehicles, spaces (staging and parking areas at hotels, airports and venues,) and FF&E requirements
  • Communicate and gain agreement for the Transport Concept
  • From the Transport Concept, produce/ work with the local LOC to produce a Concept of Operations to include the design of transport systems, processes and procedures, including a LATMP (Local Area Transport Management Plan), venue transport plans for competition and non-competition sites, organisational chart, training programme, Roles & Responsibilities matrix, VAPPS management and critical milestones
  • Work with the local LOC/or if required procure transport providers. This may include the production of procurement documents (normally an RFP), selection and contracting of the transport provider
  •  During the implementation and operational phase of the tournament/event lead the A&D and TPT teams either through the LOC or directly as the project lead in the operational delivery
  •  Post-tournament or event, complete the transfer of knowledge documentation
  •  Support the wider Transport team as and when required and complete ad-hoc requests from within the team and Head of Transport & Logistics
  • Support with requests from Divisional and Cross-Divisional management

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
  • Formal university degree in a transport, logistics, engineering, business or another technical subject or an alternative industry specific qualification
  •  Minimum of 5 years of A&D/Transport/Logistics Management work experience: ideally within football, sport, international major events. Experience of the TMM and at least one FIFA event is a major advantage
  • Experience of transport planning, information management, operating plans, budgeting, and resourcing
  • English language both verbal and written, any additional languages considered a major advantage
  •  A positive, can-do attitude and a problem-solving aptitude
  • The ability to work within a fast paced ever changing environment
  • Willing to complete regular worldwide travel
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team - often being the first on the ground operationally at an international location and the last one to leave the event/tournament
  • Planning, organisational, and administrative skills
  • Strong communicator with the ability to work, influence and communicate in a corporate and project-focused organisation
  •  Proficient in Word / PowerPoint / Excel
