Tasks
- Leading, Motivating and developing the Product Design & Engineering Global Team
- Enable the development of products that meet customer needs and anticipate future market trends and global account technology roadmaps.
- Strengthen global organization through technical training and process global standardization
- Ensuring that processes between the teams run efficiently (interfaces to process engineering, sales, production, project teams, etc.)
- Implementing the global product design strategy while considering quality and economic aspects
- Evaluate new process technologies and proposals for technical solutions
- Developing and defining products and components according to customer specifications and industry-specific standards
- Leading projects and ensuring that costs, deadlines and quality are met
- Coordinate with the Sales and Production departments to further develop products and processes
- Responsible for the development of automation solutions and equipment for spring production
- Creating concepts and Design drafts
- Creating and maintaining product data and material master data
- Defining, creating and maintaining product documentation (FMEA, risk analysis, spare parts concept, operating instructions)
- Supporting prototypes until they are ready for production
- Planning, co-ordinating and implementing changes
- Taking on tasks in CAD system administration as a possible, extended field of activity
Requirements
- BSc degree in engineering or relevant technical field
- Experience in mechanical engineering and project management (Development and Design)
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop teams
- Good knowledge of MS-Office and CAD, experience with SolidWorks is a plus
- Experience in working with an ERP system, experience with SAP is a plus
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear manner in German and English
