System Design & Integration Engineer – UK Defence

Your tasks
- Work within the UK Projects team to deliver a variety of solutions for Secure Communications, EW, COMINT and SIGINT for Maritime, Air and Land domains.
- Hands on implementation and integration of systems into new and existing platforms/environments.
- Work with Solution Architects & Lead System Designers on the development of system architectures for new projects, coordinating inputs from HQ engineering, UK Sales and the UK Projects team.
- Help to define and describe the Technical Solution during bids.
- Develop innovative solutions to technical problems small and large, researching them yourself or pulling in experts as appropriate.
- Participate in design Reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Document the system design and maintain using approved corporate design tools, coordinating with Configuration Management as required.
- Support the development and improvement of local design processes.
- Participate in tests, trials and verification of system designs.
- Contribute as required to the resolution of in-service system issues.
- Create system test strategy development and validation, verification and test plan documentation in consultation with MCTA (STW & NWHT Documentation).
- Carry out the approval of subcontract test phases.
- Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing including generating information to support bids, technical presentations to customers, generation of product specifications and attendance at customer meetings.
