Sustainability Analyst, Officer

We are looking for a bright, driven Sustainability Analyst to join our State Street Bank International (SSBI) team.

What you will be responsible for

As Sustainability Analyst, Officer you will:

• Supporting the the Sustainability Team in implementation of the Sustainability Framework, Governance and European regulatory expectations

• Supporting the Sustainability Manager in interpretation analysis and deep dives of regulatory requirements and expectations

• Support the team in review, challenge, close and ensure timely validation of all open actions before Committee approvals and support in the preparation of audit and regulatory exams

• Support the design and implementation of key processes and controls within the first line of defense

• Ability to understand the various businesses in order to ensure adequate sustainability support

• Track and update all remediations in the Compliance system as well as in MI reporting

• Assist in managing Audit, Compliance and Regulatory exams (front to back for the business)

• Support the sustainability governance process, including supporting the Sustainability Team in the preparation of all Sustainability Committee materials preparation, Minute production and action tracking

• Support the production of presentations of training for employees and clients

• Develop qualitative and quantitative monitoring and reporting (including KPIs) of sustainability

• Produce client and sales related presentations

• Support the collaboration with global Sustainability and Climate Impact teams in the preparation of reporting documents (e.g., CSRD, SASB, TCFD, research reports, Sustainability Report, SEC disclosure, etc)

• Produce management presentations and support the administrative tasks of the Sustainability Committees

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the process, products, trends and developments within the industries and sectors and themes researched from an ESG perspective

• Relevant experience with a minimum of 3 years being in the Finance industry

• Be a team player who is genuinely passionate about creating an impact in the sustainability space

• A firm understanding and interest of industry standards and regulatory developments in the EU.

• Strong critical thinking and the  ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a fast past environment 

• A strategic mindset with an eye for commercial development and the ability to credibly opine on sustainability frameworks

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business or Economics

• Min of 3 years work experience

Additional requirements

• Fluency in English and good level of German is a plus
