The opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced employment and litigation paralegal to join our Litigation Practice Group (LPG), reporting into the Global Lead Employment Counsel who is based in London. The role is full time and could be based out of any EY office in Europe, with flexibility regarding a hybrid working arrangement. The LPG is part of the EY Global Legal function (Global GCO) – a group of lawyers that advise on global strategy, policy and matters which affect the EY network of member firms. A key aspect of the role will be to support the Global Employment GCO team that provides strategic advice on a broad range of employment law and people related matters to support a workforce of 400,000+ people across 150 countries. Assistance will also be provided to the Global LPG leadership on litigation matters as outlined below.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Law degree or non-law degree followed by GDL plus, ideally, LPC (or BPTC) in the UK (or local equivalent outside the UK).
• Previous experience as an employment paralegal or working in an employment team.
• Strong personal communication skills, including oral/written communication skills.
• Strong organisation, planning and project management skills.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Teams in particular) and the willingness to develop additional skills in order to develop/maintain LPG intranet sites.
  

Ideally, you’ll also have

• A basic understanding of European employment laws, particularly with regard to the laws implementing the Acquired Rights Directive. 
• Some experience of dealing with litigation related matters.
• High degree of cultural awareness.
• Experience of working in a global environment.
• Experience with working with a wide variety of stakeholders.
