Your profile:
- You have a Master's or PhD degree in computer science or a related field
- You are proficient in Python and C++
- Experience in extending Python with C or C++ is a plus
- You like to collaborate, value teamwork and can communicate clearly in English with people from diverse backgrounds
Your tasks
- You will participate in the software development for the next generation high-speed X-ray detectors. These detectors, fully developed in-house and based on custom ASICs, produce several tens of GB/s of data.
- You will collaborate on the software to control and read out the detectors as well as on a library for data analysis.
- As our group philosophy relies on strong teamwork, you will be able to gain insight into many aspects of detector development and see the software used for in-house testing and in production at synchrotrons around the world.
