We are actively seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our respected team in Zurich. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Site Reliability Engineering or a comparable role. This position involves designing and maintaining sophisticated monitoring systems for a wide range of applications, ensuring continuous performance of our services.
The role requires a mix of remote and on-site work in a hybrid model. Responsibilities
- Develop automated solutions for operational aspects to reduce support escalation issues
- Conduct post-incident reviews and define necessary measures for sustainable solutions
- Build scripts to aid automation and further develop the continuous delivery chain
- Work closely with product developers to ensure that the designed solution also covers reliability aspects
- Uphold high standards for timely issue resolution focusing on clients' and users' needs
- Identify areas where self-service tools can be introduced
- Coordinate software release deployments with the software delivery units and guide them through the required steps
- Document knowledge within our shared knowledge database
- Willing to work on weekends occasionally due to planned releases
Requirements
- IT education with a background in system engineering or software development in a Unix/Linux environment
- Team player, open-minded and willing to learn new technologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)
- Familiar with ITIL processes
- Proactively driven to enhance automation using scripting and tools, including Jenkins, Ansible and Python
- Proficient with the application performance monitoring tool AppDynamics
- Ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking
- Fluent in English and German
