At Axpo, we are seeking a Junior Short Term Optimization Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with other Short Term Quantitative Analysts to execute and develop optimization strategies, ensuring the highest standards of performance and efficiency.
- Execute Optimization Strategies: Collaborate with Short Term Quantitative Analysts to ensure proper execution of power optimization strategies, creating pnl, and supporting ORI development.
- Develop New Optimization Strategies: Propose new ideas to develop products for different markets (Intra Day, Day Ahead, Week Ahead) in various countries (FR, BE, NL, AT, CZ, SK, HU, GR) for power and support setting up gas algo activities.
- IT & Reporting Support: Ensure data integrity and system security, reporting of pnl & risk metrics, and work closely with MO and BO for booking new products.
- Relevant educational background in a quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python, C#, and SQL.
- Fluent in English; French or German is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to communicate complex topics clearly, and problem-solving mindset.
- Knowledge of the energy business and comfort with trading/finance concepts.
- Ability to address and solve problems effectively.
