Senior Project Manager 80 - 100% (f/m/d)
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Manager for a customer project to be run across several countries. You act in the Project Management Office (PMO) as the contractual partner representing Hitachi Energy business units (BU’s) within the Power Grid division in front of the customer with the main purpose to channel all technical, commercial and contractual communication coming from the different internal and external suppliers to the customer and vice versa. The PMO will consist of the PMO functional experts (risk and contract management, planning, HSE, quality and documentation). The PM will guide a core team including the factories/categories project managers from different business units within Hitachi Energy.
Your responsibilities
Ensure efficient communication amongst all project team members vide application of communication/RACI-matrix
Ensure timely release of contractual/ commercial correspondence with client and internal distribution to all Categories
Act as interface between clients’ project representatives and the project managers from different business units
Utilizes the competencies of the other PMO core team members (Planning & Control, Quality & Doc Management, HSE, Tax & Contract Management, Site Management) to ensure adequate execution of the contract as per the requirements of client
Prepare monthly progress report towards client for entire contractual scope of supply
Manage the invoicing/payment process between Hitachi Energy’s internal product suppliers and client
Ensure application of Change Management Process with client (affecting Scope, extension of time & cost reimbursement of any business unit)
Ensure timely submission of HSE-, Quality-, and project documentation towards customer
Ensure timely deployment of Hitachi Energy’s personnel for installation and commissioning works in accordance with overall Master Schedule
Attend all progress meetings with client in any offices and/or locations in Europe, Asia and/or North America
Responsible to maintain the overall project risk register centralized in the PMO (based on each factory’s own register)
Support Head of PMO in preparation of STECO with HE’s senior management and/or customer
Your Background
Bachelor degree in engineering or relevant working experience in the energy transmission and distribution business
Strong project manager, structured and results oriented leader with strong analytical and operational controlling skills
Project Management Certification ( PMP, PMI etc.)
Negotiation skills, strategic thinking, cooperativeness and networking skills, commitment to the accountabilities
Ability to motivate, coach and share the knowledge within the organization
Business oriented mindset to support customer’s needs
Willingness to travel 30 -50% of the time
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
