We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Project Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

• Manage projects in a mix of Agile and Waterfall methods, Waterfall at the organizational level, Agile at the IT team execution level
• Implement PM principles
  • Scope management
    • Produce the PM plan with definition, scope, cost, timeline & processes
    • Engage with relevant PMO’s and provide regular status updates
  • Stakeholder management
    • Identify and engage key players (business & IT) to maintain transparency
    • Host regular stakeholder meeting to present project status, risk, issue with suggested mitigation
  • IT task management, maintain task schedule and track progress
    • On IT task delay, assess the impact and mitigation & escalate to stakeholders
    • Forward planning to identify future resource shortages & engage stakeholders to mitigate, e.g., re-plan or prioritization
  • Cost and IT resource management: formulate project budget, identify resource shortage and mitigation
  • Quality management:
    • Oversee the Test strategy and Approach - and gaining acceptance from the wider project team
    • Supporting, driving and managing all Testing Phases in collaboration with IT teams and business change teams: Unit tests, System test, SIT, UAT, OAT, Performance tests, disaster recovery tests
    • Support post-live issue, e.g., conduct lesson learnt and identify preventive action
    • Ensure SLAs are documented and agreed and in-place for upstream and downstream system owners
  • Communication management: identify different stakeholders needs, conduct status call and distribute report to maintain transparency
    • Change Control: log and track changes during project execution, & conduct business or technical evaluation to identify priority and plan
• Front-to-back management
  • Adopt a F2B view of the project executions, not limited to the Finance IT scope
  • Manage the relationship with IT owners of up-stream, down-stream systems and reference data, and work in partnership to ensure delivery from systems
• Support the annual budgeting processes on new project estimations and resource forecasting
• Represent GB&M Finance IT at relevant meeting forums and be able to cover for line manager
• Proactive in identifying risk & issues in PM operation, develop plan & mitigate task, present to stakeholder for endorsement and support
  • Cross-business engagement
  • Support IT production operation:  support ITSO in the monthly PCP production meeting by providing in-sight in PCP EOD & online issue
  • Finance Change team (FCM) engagement
    • Conduct regular meeting to share challenges between IT & FCM
    • Work with Fin IT teams to collect feedbacks as meeting agenda
    • Conduct follow-ups on action identified in the FCM meeting
• Cross-functional task
  • Support the new project assessment & estimation process (Pipeline) covering all Finance IT applications, e.g. trading platform change that impacts the Finance IT applications
  • Perform PM role as assigned to manage the project deliveries
