The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial leadership, support and analysis to Specialty Ophthalmology and Neuroscience Therapeutic Area. The position is responsible for all financial aspects related to the projects and budgets for their assigned compounds.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively partner with Compound Development Teams (CDT) and Project Management Teams (PMT) to align financial targets, analyze the value of project investments, and address business issues
• Manage all aspects of financial updates including Business Plan and Long Range Financial Plan and ensure the accuracy and compliance of monthly forecasting and closing cycles
• Pipeline valuation models for their compounds, which includes partnering with CDT/PMT, Commercial, Global Strategic Marketing, Operations and Tax
• Support of Cross-Pharmaceutical Portfolio Reviews and ad-hoc valuation support to key stakeholders across the Pharmaceutical R&D, Operations and Strategic Marketing organization
• Manage relationship and influence budget discussions with external collaboration partners
• Partner with Business Development in support of External Innovation and L&A/M&A projects
• The ability to challenge business assumptions, develop alternative scenarios and educate business partners on financial issues and concepts will be required.
• The candidate must demonstrate strong financial leadership by providing recommendations for improving the value of the financial information supplied to upper management, providing guidance to business partners, and executing the process for all development forecast and worldwide valuation updates for his/her compounds.
