Senior Electronics Engineer

Spacetek's technology has its origins in scientific space flight. We use this expertise to design, manufacture and distribute compact and robust time-of-flight mass spectrometers (TOF-MS) for industrial and space applications. Our focus is to close the gap in the current lack of process control of existing and future manufacturing technologies in the semiconductor industry.

Our products redefine the real-time analysis of chemical processes in physical processes. This massively improves process control and increases production yields. At the same time, waste and environmental impact are minimized. Our innovation is used in an international environment with business partners in Germany, Korea and Japan. Our network is growing rapidly in Asia, Europe and the USA.

The company is based in Switzerland (Gümligen, Zurich) and has a team of 30 members. Our company has offices in South Korea (Dongtan, Hwaseong) and Taiwan (Taichung).

Your working environment

Spacetek is a rapidly growing and dynamic deep tech start-up with a young and interdisciplinary team of hardware and software engineers, physicists, and other ambitious technology enthusiasts.

Your tasks:

• You are in charge to design the hardware architecture and platform of our future electronics components for the semiconductor and space markets
• You perform engineering tasks from conceptual design studies including simulations via verifications by prototyping to the industrialization of the final product
• You support our customers in their technical vision and inspire and enable them to find pragmatic solutions
• You manage technical aspects with our suppliers

Your profile:

• You have a BSc and 4+ years’ experience in relevant field
• You bring experience with industrialization processes and compliance with the required guidelines and compliances
• You are familiar with precision in regulation circuitries in analog, digital and high voltage designs
• Signal conditioning from DC up to several GHz in your area is beneficial
• Beneficial are experience with Altium Designer, Spice or other simulation tools and knowledge in VHDL or embedded software programming
• You have a knack for precise electronics assembly, soldering and testing
• You know how to document achievements and how to write test reports and log-sheets
• Good language skills in German and English (spoken and written)

• You are an independent, hands-on person with a can-do attitude and excellent organizational abilities
• You don’t mess with iterations of complex designs because quality matters to you
• You don’t get lost in detail when it’s important to meet the launch date, because you know that rockets can’t wait
• You have experience in requirements and specification management and its verification
• You have strong foundational knowledge across disciplines in electronics engineering and embedded systems
• You are used to working in a practical environment and with all kinds of scopes and measurement equipment
• You have worked in agile teams.
