To strengthen our Swiss credit underwriting team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Credit Underwriter for our Winterthur office. If you want to contribute to the growth and development of the expanding single risk cover business unit, this is your opportunity.
Your contribution
- Review and assessment of a wide range of credit-related risks in international trade transactions
- Underwriting single risk covers for global credit risks (trading of goods)
- Reviewing and negotiating insurance policies and underlying premium calculations with brokers and clients
- Supporting the continuous development of the single risk cover business unit (processes, product offerings, credit analysis instruments, industry analyses, pricing, etc.)
- Preparation of market analyses and forecasts for various industries, countries and macroeconomic developments
- Managing the existing client portfolio and building new client relationships
- Client and broker visits together with the Key Account Manager
Your capabilities and talents
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics or Banking & Finance
- 5-10 years' relevant experience in a similar role in trade credit insurance, commodity trade finance or export finance
- Excellent financial analysis and comprehensive risk assessment skills
- Knowledge of trade finance instruments, such as letters of credit, as well as of bonds & guarantees, shipping documents, hedging instruments
- Dedicated problem solver with a can-do attitude
- Perseverance and good negotiating skills combined a with strong client focus
- Reliable, well-organised personality with the ability to work independently
- Fluent in German and English; other languages an advantage
- Experience of working in an international and multicultural environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally
