Senior Accounting Specialist (Holdings & Foundations)
On behalf of our client, a multinational pharmaceutical company based in Basel, Swisslinx is looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist. In this position, you will ensure quality financial services and tight control of financial transactions for the companyâ??s Group entities. You will lead General Ledger processes within FRA Operations Switzerland, manage Venture Fund financial assets, collaborate on valuation and reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement projects for efficient end-to-end processes.

Your mission:
- Manage financial accounting and reporting (IFRS & Swiss GAAP), including monthly IFRS reporting and annual statutory Financial Statements with KPMG audit coordination.
- Provide customer service and escalate exceptions, ensuring appropriate accounting and financial reporting across FRA Ops.
- Support process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate reporting of financial assets with the Venture Fund Team and ensure accurate Cash Flow statement information.
- Oversee monthly payment coordination with TCM team in Prague and Cash Management in Basel.
- Manage yearly financial forecasts in investments, stocks, and M&A projects.
- Serve as the single point of contact for annual financial asset valuation with an external provider.
- Coordinate Blackline (balance sheet reconciliation) control and compliance for corporate entities.
- Lead LSI and Step Out process for corporate entities.
Your background:
- University level degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Finance or Chartered Accountant / MBA desirable
- Preferred Swiss Certified Public Accountant or Swiss Chartered Expert in Financial and Managerial Accounting and Reporting
- Fluent English (written and spoken), German is beneficial (written and spoken), other languages are a plus
- 5 years of financial / accounting experience, with in-depth functional expertise
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national organization
- Experience in managing projects driving performance improvements
- High knowledge of IFRS / Swiss GAAP, as well as SAP
