Senior Accountant - Luxury Sector
For our client, a growing
player in the Luxury Jewellery space with offices in Geneva, we are currently
seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team in an 80-100% capacity.
In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the financial
operations for 3 Swiss entities of the group, ensuring accuracy in financial
reporting, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
POSITION
·Record financial transactions accurately and
timely in the accounting software, including accounts payable, accounts
receivable, and general ledger entries.
·Assist in the preparation of financial statements,
including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, with
guidance of the external accounting firm.
·Responsible of accounts payable functions by
processing vendor invoices, verifying payment terms, and reconciling vendor
statements.
·Responsible of accounts receivable tasks,
including generating customer invoices, monitoring payments, and following up
on outstanding balances.
·Reconcile bank statements and credit card
transactions to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
·Maintaining accurate inventory records, including
tracking stock levels and conducting periodic inventory counts.
·Providing general administrative support to the
finance department, including filing documents, responding to inquiries, and
assisting with special projects as needed.
·Collaborating effectively with cross-functional
teams to support finance initiatives and contribute to the achievement of
departmental goals.
·Adhering to accounting principles and regulatory
requirements to ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards
(Swiss GAAP).
·Swiss VAT returns
·Assisting with the annual audit
PROFILE
·Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or
related field
·Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in
accounting or finance roles, preferably in the luxury industry
·Strong experience in analytical accounting
(mandatory)
·Proficiency in Ms Excel and accounting software
mandatory.
·Fluent in English (mandatory) and French.
·Strong attention to details and accuracy in
financial data entry and analysis.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
·Proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn
and take on new challenges in a dynamic work environment.
·Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and
adapt to changing priorities.
