My client is a market-leading consultancy specialising in structural engineering & earthquake safety.
The role
My client is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Earthquake Engineering Specialist to join their dedicated team in Zurich. You will play a vital role in developing innovative solutions for the earthquake safety of diverse structures, from residential buildings to critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project team to design and implement strategies for earthquake-resistant construction and retrofitting of existing structures.
- Perform static calculations for earthquake loads in new and existing buildings, including retrofitting projects.
- Contribute to the planning and design of high-rise buildings under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Provide expert advice to project managers from other disciplines on earthquake safety and building dynamics.
Qualifications/Your Profile
- Master’s degree in civil engineering with a specialisation in earthquake engineering, building dynamics, or related fields.
- Proven proficiency in static analysis methods and earthquake engineering principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
