Security Engineer Expert

Security Engineer Expert vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the technology sector.

Your tasks:

• Conducting in-depth and comprehensive hardware and firmware security reviews and penetration tests on critical business devices, such as HSMs, servers, switches, and SSDs
• Developing and writing detailed threat models and reports to enhance and support security reviews
• Presenting risk findings and mitigation recommendations to technical and organizational leadership across various departments
• Advocating for security improvements and communicate risk to stakeholders within different organizations
• Notifying vendors of identified hardware and firmware vulnerabilities in their products
• Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to effectively mitigate identified risks in the short term

Your experience/knowledge:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar position
• Expertise in hardware and firmware security, including penetration testing of critical business devices
• Strong technical writing skills for developing comprehensive threat models and detailed security reports
• Ability to advocate for security measures and influence leadership and stakeholders within various organizations
• Experience in vulnerability management, including communicating with vendors about security issues in their products
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or a relative discipline

Your soft skills:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex security risks and mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong collaboration skills for working with both vendor and internal teams to develop effective risk mitigation strategies
