Santanderstart - Internship in Quality Assurance Testing

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Testing and QA Intern to join our team. The intern will be responsible for supporting the testing and quality assurance functions across several private banking projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, gaining valuable experience in the financial industry and enhancing your skills in software testing and quality assurance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Test Planning and Design:

  • Assist in the creation of comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand project scope and objectives.

Testing Execution:

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing on various private banking applications.
  • Execute manual and automated tests, ensuring thorough coverage of all functionalities.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all software delivered meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and other QA-related activities to ensure best practices are followed.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Generate detailed and accurate test reports, documenting test results and highlighting any issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test plans, and testing procedures.


Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality software.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, providing regular updates on testing progress and any potential risks or issues.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with manual testing techniques; experience with automated testing tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex requirements and identify potential issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • English is a must, French and Spanish are highly valueted. Any others languages are assets
