Job Description: Product Specialist
Overview: The Product Specialist reports directly to the Sales Director and is responsible for driving sales and supporting the company’s product range for interventional procedures. This includes maintaining up-to-date product knowledge, providing clinical support, training medical professionals, and managing customer relationships. The role also involves planning, communication, and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales
- Sell assigned products within a defined sales area, aiming to increase revenue.
- Provide clinical support during procedures and train doctors and staff.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and potential clients.
- Conduct regular visits, organize product meetings, prepare quotes, and attend conferences.
- Support product launches and training sessions for medical teams.
Planning
- Collaborate on setting sales targets and developing promotional activities.
- Plan personal activity schedules and share with management.
Information & Communication
- Share strategic information on competitors, market trends, and customer needs.
- Keep internal teams updated on customer details and product usage for inventory planning.
- Report product-related matters to the Sales Director.
Reporting
- Submit daily sales activity reports to the Sales Director.
- Report on conferences, meetings, and special events, highlighting goals and results.
- Adjust quarterly plans as necessary and provide timely updates.
Growth Opportunities:
Specialization in a product area can lead to involvement in product management, including direct communication with manufacturers, training staff, conducting clinical studies, and attending conferences.
Required Qualifications:
- Higher vocational education (HBO/WO).
- At least 3 years in a sales role with proven success.
- Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
- Clinical knowledge and familiarity with relevant software.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Personal Traits:
- Independent, entrepreneurial, and decisive.
- Communicative, reliable, and flexible.
- Professional and presentable.
