Applicants are invited for a student research assistant position in pediatric craniofacial malformations at the Clinic for Oral and Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery, University Hospital Basel. The starting date can be immediately or by arrangement.
Your position
Research assistant position as part of the Facial and Cranial Anomalies Research Group led by Prof. Dr. Dr. Andreas Müller PhD, MHBA, in affiliation with the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Department of Clinical Research. The core task (~200 hours) is part of a project whose aim is the development of an algorithm to generate individualized reference morphology in treatment of infants with craniofacial malformations. An option to extend the tasks to pursue a master’s thesis in medicine is supported.
- Pre-processing and annotation of 3D images
- Extraction and registration of data and data analysis
Your profile
- Ideally, a student in medicine
- Have interest in 3D image analysis
- Have structured and accurate work style
- Have interest in pediatric patients
