Quality Control Technician

SWAN Isotopen AG is a fully certified modern radiopharmaceutical company based on the Campus of Inselspital, the University Hospital of Bern. An international team of 40 professionals is producing radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and for therapeutic purpose for the centers of nuclear medicine in Switzerland. SWAN Isotopen AG holds marketing authorizations for the most used PET Radiopharmaceuticals used in Oncology and Neurology. To strengthen our Quality Control Department we are looking for a technically skilled and fully committed quality control technician, as soon as possible. A professional and committed team is waiting for you in a fascinating working environment, which combines the production of commercial radiopharmaceuticals and development of new products. Your key role is to contribute to all technical steps of radiopharmaceutical such as radionuclide production, quality control and the maintenance of the quality control systems.

The challenge

  • Daily quality control of commercial radiopharmaceuticals according to GMP standards Maintenance, qualification, calibration and validation of quality control instruments and procedures
    • Contribute to development of new quality control procedures
    • Participation in the production of the radionuclides necessary for the manufacturing of the finished radiopharmaceutical
    • The position includes scheduled night shifts as well as day shifts

Your Profile

  • Education: BSc degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical sciences / Lab technician or relevant GMP experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing related area
    • Knowledge in analytics
    • Willing to work with radioactive materials for clinical purposes under highest safety standards
    • Reliable team player, works independently and conscientiously
    • Able to work also under time pressure
    • Experience in quality control of pharmaceuticals is an asset
    • Previous experience with GMP is an asset
    • Language: English (working language), German is an asset
