Project Manager Community Development for Europe and Southern Africa
Job Responsibilities
  • Implement initiatives and programs in the area of Community Development / Community Engagement at regional or/and local level (e.g. online and offline events)
  • Provide input and best practise from the region to the central Community Development team
  • Manage and maintain regional social media presence across key digital channels within the region
  • Implement and support central Community Development growth & retention strategies for membership in the region
  • Implement and handle the regional Fellowship programs and Host centers for AO Spine in line with the newly developed approach
  • Provide regular updates of Community Development programs to respective AO officers and Regional Managers (e.g. for Board and Commission meetings)
  • Plan and implement AO presence at conferences and congresses in the region in close alignment with central Community Development and the regional Community Development Strategy.
  • Support the implementation and increase adoption of AO's online community platform myAO across the different networks in the region 
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in relevant field (e.g. marketing, communications, project management, or business) or higher Education "Fachausweis"
  • Proven record of professional experience in project and/or event management and/or community management/engagement (5 years)
  • Experience with medical or healthcare communities is an advantage
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders on all levels (internal and external)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines and sudden changes
  • Reliable, proactive and problem-solving attitude with excellent organizational skills
  • Passionate about continuous improvement, entrepreneurial and creative mindset to further develop Community Development
  • Fluent written and verbal English. Knowledge of other relevant languages in the region are an asset
