Manage the day-to day-activities and performance of a small team of Production Specialists
Set team goals that align with strategic business objectives around cost and quality management, itinerary optimization, and tour personalization
Develop and monitor the team’s KPIs and assist in creating improvements
Establish individualized development plans with staff in accordance to their skills, attributes, and goals
Facilitate ongoing training, professional development, and career growth for staff
Support the team to effectively collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, and Tour Directors to ensure for a successful tour experience
Identify tour production constraints and proactively implement solutions
Monitor on-tour customer feedback and ensure your team is equipped to actively support groups on the road
Manage major incidents on-tour and assist team members with smaller emergencies, empowering them to act according to customer experience and cost constraints
Refine existing production processes and procedures to maximize efficiency, scale, and improve customer experience
Partner with cross-functional teams to implement changes and improvements to the tour production cycle
5+ years’ experience, Tourism/Travel or Operations is preferred
Excellent people and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading a team and/or coaching other professionals being preferred
Proven track record of providing excellent customer experiences
Ability to work in high pressure environment and meet deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to work in a diligent and organized fashion
Strategic and analytical mindsets whilst actively engaged to run day-to-day priorities
Exceptional problem-solving skills and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Passion for international travel and education with global cultural experience
Fluent in English & Spanish, written and spoken
Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Interest in technology, database management, and Lean Methodologies are not required but are a plus
