Job Description
Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Thurgau, Switzerland is seeking a talented and experienced Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic team.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in procurement and negotiation at a local site level, and be fluent in both English and German.
Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist:
Qualifications:
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
- Analyse market trends to identify potential new suppliers
- Collaborate with internal departments, including production and finance, to forecast demand
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Fluent in both German and English is essential
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
