Job Description
Your responsibilitiesWould you like to develop the technology enabling the future collider’s particle detectors? In the electronics group of the Experimental Physics department at CERN, we are looking for a design and research engineer to develop and explore innovative methodologies for the analysis of on-chip power delivery networks.
In this context, you will:
- Develop procedures, analysis, and design automation methodologies for power integrity challenges such as IR-drop-induced jitter.
- Participate in the creation, optimization and analysis of on-chip power grids.
- Share the knowledge in the High Energy Physics (HEP) community.
Your profile
Skills and/or knowledge
- Good knowledge of the full digital backend design flow using Cadence suite including Innovus, Tempus and Voltus.
- Basic knowledge of digital and RTL design.
- Software experience in Python and TCL.
- Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .
- By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Engineering (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
