As the Platform Architect for Customer Experience and Content Innovation platforms working in the Enterprise Customer Experience Platforms team, you will own and manage the design and architecture of Takeda’s Customer Experience and Content technology solutions within a highly regulated environment. In this role, you will drive Takeda’s Data and Digital mission by developing and adopting Customer Experience and Content capabilities that align with business needs, best practices, and enterprise architecture principles.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and implement the architectural vision for Customer Experience and Content platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements and scalability, security, and adherence to enterprise architecture principles and industry best practices.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement of Customer Experience and Content platforms through evaluation and introduction of new platforms, tools, or system integrations according to business demand, prioritize use cases, and enhance the existing technology stack.
- Work closely with platform teams, product teams, and other BU/BF stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure the Customer Experience and Content solutions and architecture comply with Takeda’s compliance, regulatory, and legal requirements.
- Enable stakeholders (both within and outside of Takeda) to consume Takeda’s Customer Experience and Content solutions and capabilities.
- Socialize changes to existing and new capabilities, tools, components, and consumption models to stakeholders (both within and outside of Takeda) to drive adoption and business outcomes.
- Partner with global and regional stakeholders to understand business strategy and design solutions aligned to business needs.
- Develop and own the Customer Experience and Content platforms architecture roadmap driven by business demand and strategic imperatives.
- Collaborate with Platform and Product teams to deliver roadmap initiatives in partnership with internal and external stakeholders through agile delivery teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring best practices in solution design and engineering.
- Drive alignment of proposed solutions according to enterprise architectural standards as well as alignment with Takeda security, privacy, and quality standards.
- Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance platform architectures.
- Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including design patterns, diagrams, and guidelines.
- Design and implement processes to ensure adherence to architecture principles, and components.
- Partner with DD&T and business stakeholders to enable the consumption of Customer Experience and Content capabilities.
- Partner with enterprise, solution, and domain architects to identify and enable the top strategic technologies/platforms that will help shape the organization’s technology footprint to support cross-enterprise business requirements.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring the platform meets high standards of reliability and scalability
- Act as the SME (tools, features, and architectural consulting, provide insight into industry trends) for all Customer Experience and Content platforms and capabilities in collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Influence/coach modern evolutionary platform architecture principles and practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the Customer Experience and Content platform strategy.

- Knowledge of state-of-the-art Customer Experience technologies and ecosystems (e.g. Digital Marketing, CRM, Service, Consent, Personalization, Next Best Engagement, etc.)
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art Content Management technologies and ecosystems (e.g. Digital Asset Management, Content Authoring, Content Tagging, Content Approval (MLR), Content consumption and Distribution, Content Analytics, etc.)
- Business Acumen in the Customer Experience and Omnichannel space with a Life Science focus.
- Deep understanding of the following tools
- Salesforce CRM or Veeva CRM
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or equivalent)
- Web Technologies (Drupal)
- OKTA Identity Management
- Data movement technologies; Mulesoft, etc.

- Able to engage with all levels of the organization and be proficient at building out clearly defined business requirements during discussions with stakeholders.
- Able to clearly communicate and foster alignment across all levels of the organization.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with team members in other enterprise functions like System Integrators, Enablement/Digital Leads, and Enterprise Architects.
- Strong ability to build external partnerships with industry partners and suppliers.
- Able to generate breakthrough solutions and enable others to do so.
- Day-to-day decisions regarding design, development, and implementation of Digital and Customer Experience solutions across Takeda globally.
- Able to present issues and recommend solutions succinctly to Global, Senior, and Executive Management frequently.
- Recommend and monitor spending for project budgets.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Digital Marketing related fields or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience implementing Customer Experience and Content solutions at an enterprise level in a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of customer experience and digital marketing specialties including campaign execution, marketing automation, and Social & Paid Media analytics.
- Strong experience in content authoring, sharing, approval, publishing, and performance capabilities in a large enterprise setup.
- Strong “soft skills” and English communication skills.
- Experience of working with global teams and experience of working in international, multi-country, multi-cultural environments.
- Experience working in a life sciences environment is strongly preferred
- Experience working in an agile environment is strongly preferred
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
International Travel of up to 10% may be required from this position.
