The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.
Partnership Development Manager
Imagine standing at the forefront of global sports partnerships, where every agreement you shape and every relationship you manage directly contributes to the legacy of the Olympic Movement. As the Partnership Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and negotiating future TOP Programme agreements, collaborating with world-renowned brands, and creating new areas of value for our partners across various platforms.
Your day begins with a strategic meeting with internal teams, ensuring the feasibility of new partnership opportunities. By mid-morning, you’re deep into market research, identifying global partnership sales targets and exploring new prospects. The afternoon sees you in dynamic discussions with potential global partners, presenting compelling opportunities that the Olympic brand uniquely offers.
As you delve deeper into your role, you’ll support the evolution of our commercial initiatives, from digital engagements to purpose-led initiatives, always striving to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Your expertise in commercial partnerships will be crucial in developing case studies and best practices that excite future TOP Partners and maintain our leadership in global sports sponsorship.
You’ll also track and analyze business trends, using these insights to refine our go-to-market approach and ensure we remain at the cutting edge of industry developments. With a passion for innovation and a keen understanding of partnership rights, you’ll contribute to the ongoing success of the Olympic & Paralympic Games, making a tangible impact on one of the world’s most prestigious events.
Education, Competencies, and Language Skills
Education: University degree or equivalent in business, marketing, brand management, advertising, or related fields. A higher education qualification or equivalent (Master’s/Bachelor’s degree, Federal diploma) is required.
Experience: Proven experience in creating commercial assets for sports organizations, either through an agency or as a rights-holder. Significant experience working with global brands is essential. Experience in global sports is an advantage.
Language Skills: Fluency in English. Proficiency in other languages is considered an asset.
