Paralegal (Industry) [CLOSED]
On behalf of our customer, a multinational industry group with a location in the Aarau area, we are seeking as of 1 August 2020 (or as otherwise agreed) a Paralegal:
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Counsel, provide legal and paralegal support and assistance to the Legal Department in order to facilitate the group’s business and corporate governance needs
Independently draft and review simpler agreements and other legally relevant documents to the extent legal templates are available
Under the supervision of General Counsel and other in-house counsel, prepare, review and collect all types of agreements and other legal documents, including amendments, legal letters and other correspondence, coordinate all aspects of project intake and tracking, and assume responsibility for the maintenance of the project files and filing
Review and analyze documents submitted to the Legal Department
Coordinate specific assignments with external counsel or other advisors, review preliminary advice and provide recommendations to Legal Counsel
Provide legal and administrative support regarding corporate governance, corporate housekeeping, compliance, contract management, legal archiving and assigned projects
Ensure appropriate signing, legalization, filing and archiving of all contracts and other legally relevant documents
Perform legal research
Handle, support and coordinate contacts, and act as liaison, with internal and external stakeholders, external counsel and other advisors, government agencies, authorities and industry associations
Provide company secretarial support, including drafting of agendas and minutes of general assemblies and board of director meetings; ensuring that entries in the commercial and land registries are up-to-date
Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Legal Department’s timely, complete and accurate responses to numerous simultaneous requests in project matters
Help ensure that the group and its business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations
Requirements:
Matura degree or equivalent as well as a paralegal or similar certificate
At least 4 years’ relevant work experience as paralegal in the Legal Department of a multinational group or at an international law or consulting firm; experience in an industrial environment would be a plus
Excellent skills in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Very good command of English and German (each at least level C1); other major European languages would be a plus
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to review legal documents and organize numerous legal documents in complex matters

Good time management skills to handle accurately multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
