New Product Development Buyer (f/m/d) 100%

Your responsibilities:

As a New Product Development Buyer, leveraging your current procurement background, you will lead the procurement implementation, governance, and optimization of Gutor's strategic procurement processes during the New Product Development process, ensuring they align with design requirements. Additionally, supporting localization topics critical to ensure a strong supply chain for Gutor Globally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You'll work closely with design and engineering team ensure the involvement of the purchasing function and the introduction of supplier strategies as earlier as possible in the project stage.
  • You'll assess potential suppliers to guarantee they can deliver according to defined specifications.
  • You will be responsible to achieve material net productivity and contribute to COGS improvement through negotiation, sourcing strategies, make vs. buy, change of suppliers and other strategies as deemed plausible.
  • Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identifying and selecting reliable suppliers/vendors, negotiating contracts, and establishing long-term partnerships to ensure the availability of high-quality materials, equipment, and services while maintaining the overall strategy of the strategic sourcing department.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyzing costs, conducting market research, and evaluating supplier proposals to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to budget constraints during the project.
  • Directs planning and monitoring of activities and completes deliverables.
  • Assures that the purchasing function is involved at the right level to optimize the project execution and to reach project objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in the procurement process, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate procurement records, generating reports on supplier performance during the project, cost savings, and other key metrics to support decision-making and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitoring supplier performance, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions to maintain quality standards, delivery schedules, and overall performance.
  • Develops and manages partnership with strategic suppliers to support the category strategy and sustain supplier global performance

Your Profile:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – REQUIRED

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • More than 5 years of relevant experiences on commodity/ supplier management
  • To have developed strong analytical skills, can react fast and effective at dealing with difficult situations and have strong negotiation skills
  • The ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast-paced changing/transforming and complex environment.
  • Project Management skills and Financial Acumen are a benefit.
  • Positive thinker with strong interpersonal skills and confident communication skills at all levels. Indeed, you love working independently and effectively in an evolving, complex, and dynamic environment.
  • Since we operate in an international environment, it is necessary that you are fluent in written and spoken English. Additionally, nice to have ability to communicate with regional suppliers in French or German language skills.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Good ability to drive results
