Cork SM (Small Molecule) site at Little Island, Cork, is part Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. The site has a successful history over 40 years of meeting patient needs. The site manufactures Small Molecule API for distribution throughout the JNJ network.
As a core member of the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) Team at Johnson & Johnson, the MSAT Process Chemist plays a critical role in ensuring the flawless operation of our production value streams. With a relentless focus on optimization and innovation, you will have the unique opportunity to lead new insights and advancements in our business unit, contributing to our world-class manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Show proficiency in technical areas: Your role will involve demonstrating proficiency in API manufacturing, Cleaning, and Aseptic processing. Through your expertise and skills, you will actively contribute to upholding the highest quality standards of our products.
- Implement process validation and support cleaning program: You will play a key role in implementing the process validation and supporting cleaning program for both new and existing products. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that our processes align with the highest quality standards, resulting in flawless manufacturing operations.
- Lead complex investigations: You will lead and successfully complete complex investigations such as Out of Specification (OOS) events, Out of Trend (OOT) events, and support Cleaning events. By determining the root causes of these events and implementing effective corrective actions, you will ensure that our processes remain robust and efficient.
- Lead or assist in process improvement projects: You will play a key role in driving process improvement initiatives, which may involve implementing new technologies and analytical methods like MVA and PAT. Your ability to think creatively and analyze data will be crucial in enhancing our manufacturing processes, enabling us to remain competitive in the industry.
- Foster innovation and achieve continuous improvement: You will lead initiatives to encourage innovation and constantly seek ways to enhance our manufacturing and business processes. By recognizing areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement, you will play a vital role in the overall success of our operations. You will apply tools like JJPS or similar techniques to streamline processes and attain optimal outcomes.
- Facilitate effective coordination and collaboration: As the site MSAT representative in API group or NPI project teams, you will collaborate with various teams such as process validation, cleaning, and PAT. By fostering effective coordination and collaboration, you will ensure that projects are successfully implemented and deliver exceptional results.
