Purpose of the Job
The Materials Controller / Supervisor deals with the physical processing of materials accessories, warranty parts, tooling& equipment through the Maintenance contract while ensuring that all materials are processed in line with the agreed project processes & procedures.
Responsibilities
- Leading the Safety culture required to ensure Zero LTA’s
- Lead the materials reception & store in the appropriate storage area.
- Count, pick & dispatch materials & tooling to Services Technicians and Services Engineers when required with adequate recording all transactions.
- Produce daily information such as inventory report, material reception report, material dispatching report, etc. to Materials Manager, Engineering team.
- Maintain the working environment in order to ensure a safe working environment for all entering & working within the department.
- Responsible for tools calibration
- Responsible for the safe storage of all materials, consumables, and tools for Alstom scope of work in coordination with the Customer
Coordinate with the customer for the on-time issuance of materials and tools from the customer warehouse and customer tool room.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in store operation and/or warehouse management
- Having experience in the rail/airline industry would be an advantage
- Good communication skills at working level
- Good level of Interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of the overall materials process
- Knowledge in Maximo/SAP or equivalent
Know generic/special tools management very well
